Lamma Island

After taking part in the recent opening ceremony of the new helipad on Lamma Island on 26th August 2008, Chow Yun-Fat is now being sought out in his role as an international star to help promote the Hong Kong tourism industry. He is to participate in a short publicity film. On Monday, 29 September, Chow Yun-Fat was filmed introducing the island of Hong Kong. During the filming he brought his own famous camera and took photographs.

A spokesman in the HK tourist industry said that this propaganda film had 12 parts, among which was Chow Yun-Fat's section introducing the scenery of Lamma Island. There will be 2 editions of the film, one of which will be 2 minutes long, and will be shown on the CNN TV channel. The other will be 30 minutes long, and will be shown in Hong Kong.

The spokesman said that they hoped Chow Yun-Fat's international fame and his warm smile would reach out to viewers, and would make Hong Kong attractive to people abroad. Chow Yun-Fat also grew up on Lamma Island, and because of this he was specially chosen for this film.

August 2008, wurde Chow Yun-Fat in seiner Eigenschaft als internationaler Star ausgesucht, um den Hongkonger Tourismus anzukurbeln. Er wirkt in einem Werbefilm mit, in dem er am Montag, den 29. September, Lamma Island vorstellte. Während der Dreharbeiten hatte er seine Kamera dabei und machte Fotos.

Ein Sprecher der Tourismus Industrie sagte, dass dieser Werbefilm 12 Teile haben wird, darunter auch Chow Yun-Fats Teil - Lamma Island. Es wird 2 Versionen geben, eine 2-minütige Version, die auf CNN laufen soll und eine 30-minütige Version, die in Hongkong laufen wird.

Der Sprecher sagte weiterhin, das sie hoffen, dass Chow Yun-Fats internationale Bekanntheit und sein Lächeln die Zuschauer überzeugen und damit auch Hongkong für ausländische Besucher attraktiver wird. Chow Yun-Fat wuchs auf Lamma Island auf und wurde aus diesem Grund für diesen Spot ausgesucht.

Following a refused request by the Chinese authorities for Weinstein.Co to shoot scenes in China, the cast and crew moved instead to London to shoot certain scenes, then in July went on to Thailand to complete the shooting.
On Saturday, 2.August, Chow Yun-Fat, Gong Li, John Cusack, together with director Mikael Hafstrom and others appeared at a press conference for ‘Shanghai’ in Bangkok, Thailand.
A US release is aimed for end of 2008.

Da Weinstein.Co keine Drehgenehmigung in China bekamen, begaben sie sich für die ersten Dreharbeiten nach London und im Juli 2008 weiter nach Thailand um dort weiterzudrehen.
Am 02. August fand in Bangkok eine weitere Pressekonferenz mit Chow Yun-Fat, Gong Li, John Cusack, Regisseur Mikael Hafstrom und anderen statt.
Ein US Release für 'Shanghai' ist Ende 2008 geplant.

Hong Kong famous actor Chow Yun-Fat, keeping popular for over 30 years, attended his book signing session with his wife Jasmine Chow during a launch ceremony at one of Louis Vuitton's Hong Kong outlets Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Chow Yun-Fat released his first collection of his photographic works and the book will be on sale in Louis Vuitton's Hong Kong and Paris stores. Only 1000 copies of his book Moving Pictures have been published. All the proceeds from the book will be donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross to help the victims of the Sichuan earthquake.

Am Mittwoch, den 25. Juni , kamen Hongkongs berühmter Schauspieler Chow Yun-Fat und seine Frau Jasmine zu seiner Buchsignierung während der Eröffnung eines Louis Vuitton Outlets in Hongkong. Diese erste Veröffentlichung seines Fotobuches wird in den Louis Vuitton Filialen in Hongkong und Paris verkauft. Das Buch 'Moving Pictures' hat eine Auflage von 1000 Stück, der Erlös geht an das Hongkonger Rote Kreuz um den Opfern des Erdbebens in Sichuan zu helfen.
